The International Conference on Grapevine Breeding and Genetics, renowned as “the Olympiad in the World Grape Sector”, will land in China in 2014. Yanqing, Beijing is the first city in Asia granted as the host city of this event. For the first time ever, the International Conference on Grapevine Breeding and Genetics will include an international wine exposition on its schedule. The 2014 Beijing (Yanqing) International Wine Exposition is sponsored by the International Society for Horticultural Science, Ministry of Agriculture of PR China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality; also, it enjoys powerful support from China Chamber of International Commerce, China National Association for Liquor and Spirits Circulation, China Alcoholic Drinks Association, as well as other professional organizations. Positioned to be “International, Excellent, Professional”, with the themes of “Brand, Trade, Cooperation”, the exposition aims at building an international wine trade platform, a communication platform for Chinese and foreign wine, and a display platform for eastern and western wine culture.

The exhibition scale of the first wine exposition will reach 25,000 square meters, and consist of the international pavilion and domestic pavilion. We will invite: world famous Masters of Wine like Jancis Robinson, Anthony Hanson and James Halliday; well-known wineries and wine enterprises from both old and new wine worlds such as France, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Chile and the United States; top 10 wine-producing areas in China and well-known domestic wine brands; Chinese best 50 wine importers and wine dealers from various cities; professional wine dealers from China’s neighboring countries to attend the exposition. The estimated number of visitors will reach 4000 every day.
