Ironmonger Events Limited (IME), the organizers of the Louis Roederer Champagne Tent, Erdinger Oktoberfest, and Hedge Fund Fight Nite will be adding a new event to its portfolio, Wine HK. The new wine fair, which will take place on 15-16 November 2013, is set to be biggest ever showcase of wines directed at wine lovers (and drinkers) in Hong Kong.

Wine HK promises the perfect platform for wine houses to present their fine wines, which have been specially selected by an expert panel of wine buffs. These wines are then heavily discounted from their original retail price to offer visitors to the wine expo a real steal on some of the world’s most renowned brands.

An expected 5,000 visitors are expected to visit the pop up wine cellar, which will be located in a purpose built marquee at the Indian Recreation Club, opposite the Hong Kong Stadium in Causeway Bay. A ticketed affair, once inside visitors will have the opportunity to try before they buy their favourite tipple at a tremendous deal.

To date the labels that have made the cut include legendary labels such as Louis Latour, Louis Roederer, Bollinger, Penfolds, Robert Mondavi and Rosemount Estate. Hand selecting the wine houses participating in Wine HK, is celebrated wine critic, Jeremy Oliver.

Jeremy Oliver is one of Australia's foremost wine writers and presenters and the country's most influential wine presence throughout Asia. He is a widely-read and fully independent Australian wine commentator, whose words are published in several countries. In late 2005, he was named the inaugural Wine Writer of the Year by the widely circulated Australian Wine Selector magazine. With the recent publication of Enjoying Wine with Jeremy in Mandarin, Jeremy became the first western wine critic to create and publish a book in China especially for the Chinese audience.

The full list of labels that will be taking part at Wine HK will be made on Friday 27 September, when Jeremy Oliver will be in Hong Kong to make his announcement on the selection.
