The Cooperative Viticoltori Friulani La Delizia is the largest wine making Company of the FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA REGION and it represents one of the most important Wineries in Northern Italy.
The Cooperative was founded in 1931 in Casarsa della Delizia and it harvests an average of 30,000 tons of grapes a year. It incorporates over 450 members with 2,000 hectares of vineyard, which develop throughout the whole plain of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
This particularly suitable wine growing land, and it raises, harvests and processes the grapes supplied by the wine growers in the same place of origin. The combination between the nature of the soil – which is a mixture of gravel and clay – and the beneficial influence of the sea along with the shelter of the mountains, allow Vini La Delizia to deliver typical wines with a strong identity.
Sixty per cent of the wine produced by Vini La Delizia is sold in the United States, Canada, Russia and China and in the main Europeans Countries.
